Hello, my followers! ๐๐This post is about teaching with technology.
Technology is constantly
changing and developing. It is everywhere and sometimes we don’t realize it,
because it is part of our daily lives. Also, technological improvements have
affected education.
Today technology is not a tool in the classroom because it is integrated into teaching, so it affects both learning and teaching. Moreover, it is transparent. This means that teachers use blackboards, slides almost every day, but students don’t recognize them. Technology has become an indispensable part of teaching. In other words, teachers integrated technology into teaching. Is integrating technology into teaching enough?
In my opinion, pedagogy has
also a crucial role in teaching with technology. Not only integrating technology into teaching but also changing the
pedagogy is important for teachers to create an effective learning environment, because
we are living in the 21st century. Students need to get some skills to be
successful in life and classrooms are the best places to acquire these skills.
Therefore teachers need to use technology in the classroom.
Teaching with technology has
many advantages. For instance, technology
makes learning more enjoyable. Students don’t get bored during the
lesson. Also, technology helps students to be more innovative, so students
engage in the lesson and have an opportunity to learn more deeply. Furthermore,
students may create technology and share with others on the internet or digital
platforms. On the other hand, teaching with technology has some disadvantages.
For example, students may lose interaction in the classroom and they may waste
time on the internet.
I’m planning to integrate
technology into my teaching because I think the benefits of technology outweigh
the costs. Also, I believe that children are familiar with technology and they are eager to
use it in the classroom. I want to create different kinds of plays, activities,
tasks with using technology. ๐๐๐
What do you think about integrating technology into teaching?
